The Club Universitario de Córdoba (Uni Córdoba) is a multi-sports club in Córdoba, Argentina. Today the club is mostly famous for their rugby union team.

History

Club Facultad de Medicina was founded in Córdoba in 1906 by students of the city's medical school. A year later students from the law and engineering schools joined and Club Universitario de Córdoba was founded on 8 April 1907.

Athletics would become the first sport practiced at the club, later followed by fencing, association football, swimming, rugby union, basketball and field hockey.

Rugby

Club Universitario de Córdoba were a founding member of the Unión Cordobesa de Rugby and won the first ever Cordobeso tournament's title in 1931.

Uni still hold the record for wins in the provincial tournament with 20 titles, however their last win was in 1977. In recent years Uni have struggled to make an impact on the competition. Their drop in form coinciding with the arrivals of much younger clubs such as Tala and La Tablada who have dominated cordobeso rugby since the 1970s.
